Like the title says I am looking for a backpack tackle box. I a tired of lugging my tackle box all over the place. I thought a backpack one would be better, plus I am hopefully going on a canoe trip, and a pack would help.

Thanks for the help.

Wow, those both look excellent, Tip-up.

I too struggle a bit with compactness - maybe I suffer from Angler's Clutteritis? :D If you're looking for a compact method to carry your tackle, depending on your needs, I recommend a couple of plano stowaways (that's a link to one of many varieties). They are rugged, the prolatch keeps them closed, and fit well into a backpack or travel bag.

I have the Flambeau one but an older model which is red and without the rod holder.
