Fishing there is generally good.
That Derbyshire is a fun one, lots of people and good cash payout!

What is the date of it this year?

It is a lot of fun. Went last year and they had really nice chili lunch. Lots of good company although the bite over the day was light. The guy near us won the big cash payout with a huge pike caught about 2 feet below the ice on dead suckers. He also got second place which caused a big debate. We had an early pike and a huge perch that tried to take a Rod down the hole. I went back a week later and caught a monster walleye.

Long hike onto the ice if you don't want to risk the vehicle but the fishing is very good (Buckhams bay also).

Yup, I'll be there elbow to elbow in my secret spot.

BTW the fishing area is limited to water, from Horseshoe Bay too Sand Point in Constance Bay (The Point).

Can you move around and drill your own holes, or are you regulated to using pre-drilled?

Drill your own within the zone unless they changed the rules this year.
