Time for Swap Themes

Are you a fly fisherman who like to swap flies with others? This idea was brought to my attention a little while back and I think we should give it a try.

Time for Swap Themes

Post by Todd B. »

Well, the hard water season is fast approaching once again. Last season we managed to hold four (4) respectable fly swaps. I'm hoping that we will be able hold just as many this season, maybe even a couple more.

That being said, I just wanted to open up the floor to suggestions for possible swap themes for this season.

Cheers,
Todd

How about a "dealers choice".... Simply open it up... Tie your favorite, or the one you want to show off, etc?

my suggestions:
- 3 minute flies (or some other time restriction)
- "go to" flies (aka the "confidence swap")
- flies that have caught the most fish swap (may be similar as above)
- ultimate caddis swap that would include larva, emergers and adults (or other insect of choice such as iso, stonefly or whatever)
- european nymph swap (czech, bottom rollers, grubs etc)
- atlantic salmon swap
