Cedar Plank Salmon

Lots of people love fish. They are good for you and taste great. Please tell us how you prepare and cook your fish.

Lake trout on the cedar plank, BBQ. had it last night with a home made dill sauce. many dill sauce recipes on line easy to make and dont forget to soak your cedar plank for a few hours. 1"x 6" 10" long.

I used to do Salmon in BC similar to both Mattdrp's recipe and Snipers:

Cedar Plank - :!: remember :!: do NOT use TREATED cedar plank
Salmon Fillet
Brush with a maple and mustard mixture (4 parts maple syrup to 1 part mustard) (you can add garlic to this glaze if you like)
Keep brushing on the Maple / Mustard stuff while you bbq the salmon on the plank.

Here's another that would probably be good for bass but that I've always used for pickerel

For Pickerel (Walleye)

On a plate mix about 1 cup bread crumbs, .25 cup grated parmesan cheese and a bit of fresh chopped parsley
Add salt and pepper to taste
Melt some butter
Dip fillets in butter to coat them and then dredge them in the bread crumbs until well covered
Fry coated fillets in a pan using either olive oil or butter
Optional: Once cooked, squeeze a little lemon juice over each fillet
