Hello All,
Antlers are set to fall any day now (I always pick up fresh sheds during the first week or two of January) and the antlers on this buck at the top of my list to find. He shed his left side on January 7th of this year, dropping it in front of my trail cam. Here's hoping for a repeat performance in the coming weeks.

That is fresh cedar, Doug - like candy to these guys and a main staple food during the winter. Problem is though, they love it so much that much of it is browsed too high up the tree for them to eat. So, post rut and during December and January, when the temps are cold and snow deep, I will put a fresh pile down at the cam sites to offer them some extra nutrition that is easy to find and consume. Most piles don't last a day.
