Anyone Goose hunting?

Post by Mr Twister »

I was hoping this year to get out and experience some goose hunting as the thousands around here are driving me nuts and only hope to hook up with some avid goose hunters around the area.

I work out Kemptville area and live in stittsville

I have been out a few times on the river near rockland with fairly good success. There are tons of geese flying the hard part is to get them to come into you when they have their minds set on going to the fields.

We all got are limits. Had great fun.

We hunted a field north of Finch, ON

Going with other friends this Sunday, East of Orleans, ON

Don't know when I'll have time for deer hunting.

If you have a 12 ft tinner and some decoys it is pretty easy.
I have had a TON of success hunting the Burrits Rapids stretch. We only used about 6-10 floating dekes.

Corn fields we use about 40+ dekes. They are pretty wary when in the air. But dumber than a bag of hammers when on the ground!
