MNR out and about

Post by Joe28 »

I was in the Lanark area this past weekend and was stopped a few times by the MNR. They said they were investigating 'moose poaching'.

Maybe they were just having a laugh amongst themselves but I've never seen or heard of moose in that area. But that'd be great if moose were in the area because that's mostly where I hunt!

There's moose in Larose Forest and I once saw one just outside Orleans on Frank Kenny Rd so maybe they are in the area.

Glad to hear that they are out...hopefully they are able to nab a few of the people that will inevitably be poaching or hunting without a license/tag.

Good to see them out there..... there are a few moose out that way, just not enough to hunt I think.

I have seen a couple in Larose as well. I'm living in Orleans now so have been spending more and more time out there.
