Pathfinder maps in Carleton Place has a Gorilla climber as of Monday anyway.

Larose is great for climbers..... lots of big straight trees..... you will probably have to trim some limbs depending on the tree.

Marl is nothing like larose..... there aren't too many areas you will find climber friendly trees. Hardwood areas are limited and when you do find them usually so have the other hunters

I'm planning to go to Larose Forest for deer hunting.

I didn't find a website for Pathfinder maps.
By the way, when I come back from abroad I will go to visit this store.

www.thathuntingstore.com - newly opened in Richmond, carries the only climber I'll ever use. Lone Wolf... They are the most durable and more importantly, to me, the only "silent" stand out there... On the higher end of the price-point, but without a doubt, the best climber... They have one or two in stock.

Checkout lonewolf treestands online and read the hype about their system. I beleive it is not the lightest climber on the market, so if weight is your primary concern you'll have to see how much lighter you can get... I think they are about 20lbs.

I just spent the past 5 days, covered well over 10miles of walking with mine on my back, as well as my gear and didn't have any issue.

I really cannot say enough... the flimisy gorillia climber a buddy has doesn't even compair... cheaper, sure... but the noise it made when moving around on it was unacceptable, IMO... other brands I'm not familar with, however every climber i've seen on Hunting shows is a lonewolf climber... if that counts for anything.

I went to the Pathfainder maps and he didn't have a climbing treestand.
but tomorrow I will go to see the blind which you showed me before.

well if your going to hunt the marlborough and larose forest id buy one you can tale home with you otherwise it will walk away,i hunt up there for rabbits and grouse havnt seen any safe tree stands yet
