That is the reason I no longer wear just a flourescent vest & hat.
I was in the bush once hunting partridge when some deer hunters also came through the woods and I realized that from a side view, they could not see my vest at all, and if a tree blocked the view of my hat, I would might look like a deer (a huge deer)
I immediately bought a full flourescent jacket and do feel that I am much more noticeable now..

That's why I always wear a headlamp on my forehead when I come back out when light is almost gone.
