Late season snowshoe hare

Post by Out4trout »

Was able to get out this morning for a few hours with the young lad... beauty day for outdoor activities. We mostly were exploring and hiking - brought the gun just in case... We found this fella hunkered down behind a deadfall.

The hares are starting to get brown hair on their backs., still some snow on the north slopes here...

Will likely try for another, but this might be the last hare of the season for us, with only 2 weekends left in March!! It was a great season this year.
