I had my first hunt this year and it was great!!! to say we got no birds but i have never got so close to a turkey 5:00am or so was just to dark to see the first 3 birds they wanted nothing to do with us but just run right past not sure if they even seen the decoys but one bird stayed and ate in the field and then it needed a drink from the ditch i was sitting it was an arms reach from me and it had no clue i was even there and then just walked off into the bush way to nice to not share my storey and tomorrow it going to be a good hunt fingers crossed :D :D

Hi Chris
That's a great story - and it is neat to get that close to any wild animal, but especially a turkey - eyesight and hearing is so acute.
So you're good at sitting still as a stone - which is a huge part of the success formula.
Hope a bearded bird comes your way soon!!
