2010 Deer Draw Results

Post by MLR »

How did everyone do? Will be interesting to see how many of us from fish hawk got antlerless tags

This is the first year in the last 5 that I got an antlerless tag but so far I am the only one in the camp that has confirmed having a doe tag.

The number to call is 1 800 288 1155 and remember to have your outdoors card number when you call

No doe tag for me this year either in 64B ....... First time since I started entering the draw some 8 years ago. My son just found out he also didn't get a doe tag. Also in 64B.

And best of luck to Birdee going after the "horny" one this fall :D . Looks like she has put a lot of time and effort into her new stand.

Birdee and I have talked alot about the dedication hunters have to it....it's very easy for her really....that stand is a 250 yard walk from our back door....right into 300 acres of bush...very handy and lucky....

When she hears of guys getting up at 4 AM to go drive somewhere to hunt on land with many other people she realizes just how lucky she is.....

from what I have been hearing, tag results are down. in our camp we seldom use them anyways. but it's nice to get them just the same. everyone in our camp was successful.

nada for 43B

Post by C5 »

wow first year since 1984 no doe tag for the west end of Manitoulin Island.. When the MNR went to the buck law in the early 80's within 3 years we had awesome hunting so I am fine with reducing the numbers.. there hasn't been the deer around for at least 4 years...
Like 67, lots of guys got extra tags over thew past few years and shot whatever, now here we are with poor numbers again... too bad it takes the MNR to sort this out... we should have been able to figure out on our own...
