Hi Hawkers,

I was wondering if anyone can point me to an inexpensive goose call that works well for a beginner?

Thanks,

Take a tour to St lawrence Outfitters. They have a lot and you can try them. Not to mention they are masters at Goose hunting.

I like the quackhead goozilla (Quackhead is owned by RNT) for a budget call... It's a 25-35$ call depending on where you buy it... Very easy to blow, and produces an excellent sound for a call of that price.

Zink has that big bell on the end of the call that you will either love, or hate, and it's unique to them. Personally I hate it.

The advice to go to SLO is right on... Problem is I don't think they let you try the cheaper calls since they are in packaging... The acrylics they may let you try, since they can clean them.

Most importantly get your hands on Shawn Stahls Honker talk, or Craig McDonalds 100% Goose... both are great learning tools. Spend the time it takes to learn to call and keep at it.
