Kickin' Fowl! Oct Report.

Post by TheFishstick »

Hey guys,

Been smashing geese for the past few days. So far this season I've been out 6 times and have limited out each time (mmmmm goose jerky.... can't make the stuff fast enough! It gets eaten up within hours of coming out of the dehydrator). Here's compiled report w/ videos! I've been lucky enough to hit the fields with family and good friends everytime. This has been an amazing season for me so far! All the hard work has been paying off.

Oct 6, 2010 - Cut Silage Field - 20 Geese and 10 Ducks

Oct 10, 2010 - Soy Bean Field - 10 Geese

Oct 11, 2010 - Cut Grain Field - 20 Geese

Who the hell is shooting on the far left of the frame????!!! I think he would give The Terminator a run for his money..... at around 2:30 in that vid he takes out 2 birds in about 2 seconds... after that I saw three shots when a flock came in low from the right on the frame and went hard left...

Some of the silhouettes with the gun smoke rising out of the barrels of the guns looked awesome!!!

Thanks for sharing... and whoever that gunman was on the left deserves serious props!

Hahaha. that would be me on the far left.

A little later on in the vid @ 3:30 I shot 2 birds with one shot and then dropped a third just out of frame and missed my final shot. We knocked 5 birds out that of that flock in total. My buddy on the far right got the first 2.

Some good hunting going on there Eric.

It was a great time in that field for them ducks and geese. I love hunting before I go into work

I can't wait to do up some of that jerky this week. how thick do you cut your strips? as thin as possible or you go up to 1/4 inch thick?

Oct 6 we ran my buddies spread of 7 dozen decoys. 3dz full bodies and 4dz shells if I remember correctly.

Oct 10 I just took out my 3dz full bodies for easy set up and take down.

Oct 11 I ran my full spread of 3dz full bodies and 2.5dz shells.

Hahaha. Most farmers would agree with you on that one! So far this season I've had a hand in the demise of 99 Canada Geese, 10 Ducks and 1 Snow goose over the course of 6 hunts with friends and family.

I personally blow a GK Calls Canuck. Love it! I've had it for 3 years now. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Sir,

You never asked for my permission for post my calling abilities online.

People pay money for that.

The damage is done, I'll have my day in court.

Had some awesome hunts on the weekend... Friday Sunday 40 by 7:15 Monday 20 by 7:30 same field... poor geese. Thanks Carl for the fields.
