Any QC Deer Hunters?

Post by cprince »

Just curious how the QC hunt is going this year... Anecdotally, the deer are everywhere out here... dangerous really... I figure there must be a bonanza of bucks!

From what I've been hearing, it's looking better in terms of what people are seeing. We only do the rifle season now. Last year was brutal. Only a week and a half left!!!

I know a few guys that set up near our land for bow season. They have taken out two nice bucks. I was at the butchers when they brought one of them in. Healthy big boy!!

Rumour around my street is that this season is a fantastic deer year ! I have around 20 lbs of steaks ready to be eating in my basement freezer ! Gotta love the neighboors !

Turned out pretty good.
I got a decent 7 pointer. Field dressed 165 lbs.

Certainly a lack of big ones where we are.
Seemed to be a bumper crop of 1.5 year olds though. So next year should be even better!

Gonna test out the sausage maker pretty soon!

I was doing a job at the local black market butcher... and the deer and moose were ROLLING through!!

He had to turn away business... they were 3 pro butchers cutting full time...

Yep... bumper crop of both moose and deer this year.

There are about 9 nice bucks that myself and a neighbor have been tracking over the fall... between the two of us, we let one bow hunter in.

I will see how he did this week end!
