Because of my new family obligations I missed the moose hunt for the first time in 15 years, but I was pleased to hear that we got this guy on opening weekend. By far our biggest bull (we usually get the first one that answers our calls), and a once in a lifetime moose for sure for our neck of the woods.

59 3/4" rack. Kinda like getting a 4lbs 15oz bass I suppose.

Of course the year you don't go, right?
Isn't that always the way?
I sat on the sidelines this year as well due to the same thing.
Our group saw 11... cripes....
No bulls though.
There had to be one happy guy in that crowd.
Next year man.... next year....

bah, I didn't mind really. I'm 25 and have already been in on a dozen kills or so including one that was 100% my own. Moose hunting is alot like work and really, I'd rather be home with my newborn :D ...this year.

60" racks are rare in our mid Canada

I've never been moose hunting but would love to in the future. It's always amazed me how something so big with a rack that size can move through the forest. I have a hard time getting through the spruce trees with my 12 ga, lol. Nice bull, great rack, awesome job to all. Enjoy.
