Here's a pic of our 8pt buck, harvested in the PM of opening day.
Dressed out nicely - a neck shot was all that he offered, no shot damaged cuts.

No livestock at the hunting camp... The barn to the right is no longer used. The one to the left is used to store firewood for the maple syrup ops.

Nope. It took 3 of us to hoist it onto the ATV. I would estimate around 175lbs. Deboned, cut/wrapped we got 76lbs of venison from this deer. Certainly not a monster. :D
Although it was not as heavy as last year's 8pt, it did dress to about the same weight, as there was no shot damaged meat.
