Licenses for hunting
Hi, I have had my nova scotia hunting license since I was 16, also have my FAC/PAL. What does a fella have to do to get an Ontario License. I would like to eventually hunt Turkey as I probably wouldn't use a deer to the fullest if I were to get one. Also want to hunt with a bow preferably. Are N.S. hunting licenses transferable to Ontario or do I need a course? And is there a separate course for Turkey? what about bow hunting as well? If so, where do I get these courses at? I live in Kanata so west end preferably.
Re: Licenses for hunting
Hi. The hunting course you took in NS should be transferable to Ontario. Check the MNR website and here's a link to local instructors if you want/need more.

The turkey course is now available online through the OFAH.
Good luck.

Re: Licenses for hunting
I know when i moved from NS to ON, I had to challenge the course to get my residence hunting credientials on my outdoors card. Things may have changed, not sure. Just pop into the MNR office and see what ya need to do.
