Quebec map project

Just like the Ontario Map Project, the Quebec Fishing Map Project features various bodies of water in the province of Quebec, which can be downloaded here, and used to find some potential honey holes.

Because you have not started one yet??? No just kidding...I think the whole reason this site began was for a Ontario Map project for launches etc...I am sure there are enough Quebecers on here now to start one though.

I have about 2500 digital charts for Quebec - many in the immediate area and would be happy to make them available.

Any of the charts I have are hydrographic - launches and other info would have to be added.

I'll get hold of Bobber and see what he can do to help this along.

Some of the lakes may not be available.

To simplify things a bit my suggestion would be to determine what lakes go into the project and then we work from there. Better to organize the detail and keep it simple.

Great idea!

I have a list of lakes that would be great for the project and I would like to utilize my non-resident licence.

Mc Bay aint one of them

Interesting indeed. McQ sent me a note on this. Let me give it a thought and we'll see what we can do.

Cheers,

I think the lakes with the trophy fish in them would be what most of us will want. Also if you can mark where exactly we should drop our lines AND what bait to use will be appreciated.

yes and of course include translations for the lures so the Quebec fish will understand... such a spiner bait, would be fileur appât, and please don't tell me to just place a worm on my hook, it should be more like ver on the hook

while you are marking all the hot spots, can you please use codes like

S = secret spot
SS = super secret spot, big bloody fish!
TFGE = trophy fish guaranteed everytime!

but really, this would be most appreciated as next season being new from the west, I definately want to explore Quebec waters and this would be really helpful!

this is a great idea, i have never fished on the quebec side, but info on some lakes along with boat launches sounds like a good idea to me,and as well I'm not looking for secret lake x, just a lake to spend the day on.Good topic
