31 Mile Lake

Just like the Ontario Map Project, the Quebec Fishing Map Project features various bodies of water in the province of Quebec, which can be downloaded here, and used to find some potential honey holes.

Have you fished this body of water or know any details about it?
- Description
- Boat Launch Information
- Species List
- or anything else...

Tell us about it, and I'll update the project.

31 Mile Lake

Post by Billy Bones »

Hey Rob

I used to have a cottage on 31 Mile Lake, northern section. Have listed three spots that always produced for me.

1. There is a shoal that tops at 40 feet of water that runs from the mainland across to the island. To the north it drops to 90 feet and to the south it drops to over a 100 feet. This is a great spot for vertical jigging in the evening until well after dark. Did some scuba diving in this spot with my son, around midnight one night. There were trout all over this shoal.

2. This is another shoal that tops at 50 feet. It is between a rocky outcropping and the island to the north. Have personally caught up to 40 Whitefish in a morning here, in the early spring, using Kastmaster and Swedish Pimples. There are also Lake Trout if the Whitefish will leave your lure alone.

3. This is a good bay for Whitefish, in the early spring. Look for them on the sonar usually in 40 to 50 feet of water, and use Kastmaster and Swedish Pimples

Regards
Billy Bones :D :D (AKA Bill Jones)
