Helix 5 or Helix 7???

Helix 5 or Helix 7???

Buying a new GPS/finder... would you go helix5 or helix7?? Thoughts?? Experiences??

Buy the biggest screen you can afford and will fit your boat. I've never heard anyone say I wish I'd have bought a smaller GPS. Also, with the 7, they can be networked (if you buy the G2N model) which is a big plus in my books.

Why would he want to network 2 units on a kayak?

I debated between the 5 and 7 as well. I ended up going for the 7DI G2N on a SC boat. Figured I'd make it fit one way or another. I'm thrilled I went bigger. As it turned out, my cousin has a 5 on their boat. Over opener we were comparing, the bigger screen made a big difference.

If you can afford the 7 go with it ! I had a 5 and it was good but the bigger screen is nice and I found the 7 faster .
