Got my Baitrunner

Well I already have an old 25 years old Shimano Baitcaster reel, and was always satisfied with it. Always told myself that I would get one of their top of the line reels one day.
Made the plunge today and ordered for my carp rod the Shimano Super XTR Baitrunner 8000 RA.

Looks pretty sweet!!!!
Is that something you had to order from overseas? I can't seem to find that specific model on the shimano site.
Sounds like they are pretty smooth and worth the money.

I did not order it personnaly from overseas, but the Canadian Carp Club did for me. I had seen it on YouTude and fell in love with it. Ask the owner of CCC if he could obtain it and "voilĂ ". Great service.

Just received an early Father's Day gift.
A Delkim EV Plus buzzer strike indicator.
Once installed on the Rod Pod and all set-up, you can sit back, look around enjoy a cold brusky and/or read a book while waiting for the gizmo to sound off informing you something is leaving with your bait.

Thats sweet!
What I did was stock up in Florida when I went down.
$30US bought you an Okuma rod and baitrunner combo.
I could have bought a line counter baitcaster combo for $60.....
I love checking out the bargain Salt water bins for deals.
That reel is pretty sweet and hope it helps you land a plethora of big FISH!!!

Thanks Jimmy_1
Yes, I'm sure there must be great deals to be made in the USA, especially at various shops near the Ocean's waterfront.
Although, I equiped myself with a baitcasting rig for carp, I noticed while I was this morning at SAIL to go pick up a few little packages of artificial plastic corn to make more corn-flies for fly-fishing, that they had added more carp stuff on their selves. Guess their is a strong demand these days.
The little packages of plastic corn have a few different size in them. I like the small ones for the corn-flies, but will use the bigger ones to float the boilly on my bait-rig.

I just want an alarm. I truly hope SAIL or someone can bring in the $20 ones.

Two on-line shops I know has many alarms, some in the $20.00 range.
Search for:
Carp Kit International
And also
Canadian Carp Club Shop
Both are located in Ontario.
