So what did Santa bring you?

Just what the title says....anything and everything related to Rods, Reels, Terminal Tackle, Plastics, what others are using, what works, what doesn't work, and anything else you want to talk about regarding equipment.

This Koppers frogs are by far, the best frog I have. And considering how thin they are, they are pretty tough. I'm sure you will impressed with them.

A few gift cards and a little cash and its either going to be a bigger spend on a bigger shelter or some ice fishing pants...but best present is the chance to get have a few
little outings in 2015.. If not looking at gear is better than nothing!!

Those Zondas are sweet, Maverick - almost too pretty to fish.

Santa was kind enough to leave me some cash and Sail gift certificates that I translated into two lowly additions to the armory - a Stradic Ci4 2500 and a ABU Toro Winch 50.

    B-nads,

I have had my Stradic Ci4's for 3 seasons now and they are amazing little reels. I am sure the one you got is the ci4+ which is a better built reel that the ones I have.

Be prepared to be impressed. Both of mine have been shipped to Shimano for service. I figured at least one was due after hauling in my PB Muskie (totally incidental if you haven't read my post on it) so I brought them down to Paddletales to have them shipped out.

    Enjoy!

Well Santa made an extra trip for me since I was out of town on the 25th.

Bless Santa's awesome heart and he is the best fishing buddy *ever*! He did a couple of little side deals with a couple of FH'ers. And this beautiful reel is now mine

    Sweet reel, One ;-)

Lape - I don't doubt it for a second. I was being very tongue in cheep with the "lowly" comment. Both of these reels feel ridiculously solid (can't wait to cast that Winch - feels a lot lighter than my Calcutta). I'm not sure if the Ci4 is the + model or not - I'll post a pic when I get home from work. I'm picking up a 7'6 Avid/Fast to put it on this week while the taxes are still off at Sail.

The material used to make your reel (Ci4+) is something like 200% stronger than what mine are made out of. It was built that way for added rigidity but for bass fishing, I haven't had any problems with mine.

Now, I'm just waiting for this white stuff to melt...

    Nice!

I've got it for my main walleye caster, but I'm gonna go at in the ice with it tomorrow for the fun of it ;-)
