Anyone use a Jackall Pompadour yet?

Just what the title says....anything and everything related to Rods, Reels, Terminal Tackle, Plastics, what others are using, what works, what doesn't work, and anything else you want to talk about regarding equipment.

Anyone use a Jackall Pompadour yet?

Post by biggs »

Because for me this is either the worst or most annoying $30 lure available!

Those stupid wings never stay in place and just about every cast it came back like this.

Or this.

When its supposed to come back like this.

Needless to say, I'm really disappointed in this lure especially for the price. Not sure if I got a dud or not? I will say that when it did do what its supposed to do the action was pretty sweet.

......oh yeah, best part. On my last cast (you'll see why it was my last cast) it came back like this.

If you can't see it. The rear hook fell off.

I haven't used mine yet but will shortly. What rod/reel were you throwing this on?

I am just wondering if the gear ratio was too high for the lure? I plan on throwing this with a 6.3:1 Curado I or a 6.2:1 CI4+. It will be on a Dobyns 734 with Mono more than likely but will also try it on the jerkbait special.

Has nothing to do with gear ratio but I was using one of those ugly Zillions with the stupid rash guards.

The wings disconnect mid flight.

Yup,

That's definitely not the reels fault! I hope you just got a bad one but I would be pee pee if that were me. Something's gotta be wrong if they are doing that mid flight.

If this was closed and not open, I would have no issue.
Can someone check theirs to see if it's closed or not? All pictures I've see. Have them closed. Thinking I got a dud.

Wow, for the price I hope those wings actively wedge the fishes mouth open, forces the lure inside, then sends an alert to your phone to set the hook...

Received a text with some pictures and the eyes where closed.
So I fixed the first issue, no to get a hook on the back with no split ring!

Excellent ... Now if you can get on the Bass as quickly this season, we should have a good year.
