Amazon Prices

Post by drake691 »

So I was checking out Amazon for some deals and I searched for a new rod. I'm in the market for a savvy or fury 704, when i searched Dobyns they came with a price tag of $927. HA I'd love to know who sets these prices on there

A lot of stuff on there isn't being sold by Amazon. It's third party sellers, with the order fulfilled by Amazon, and they can set their price at whatever they want. I've often wondered at some of the astronomical prices by third-parties though, maybe they're hoping people click and order by accident.

Drake: I've got Dobyns on sale right now at Paddletales. I'll check tomorrow to see if I have a 704. Casting or spinning?

Sorry Drake. Was a zoo at the store today and checking slipped my mind. I'll try to remember tomorrow.

I'm almost sure that you have one in the rack.
But, as I age, my memory fails me.

Drake: I have the 704c in stock in both Savvy and Champion. Both have split handles.

I too have noticed this phenomena on Amazon.ca. You search for a particular item and 20-25 results are within $5 or one another and 2 or 3 are 500% higher.

I'd love to hear an explanation

The free shipping has to be paid one way or another.
