zebco 600

Post by kevinv »

Looking for parts for an old Zebco 600. Lost the nut that holds the handle, and the washer. The washer is not a problem, but to find a nut that fits and is not looses, seems almost impossible. is there an alternative ?

Any idea of the size of the bolt? I can get almost any piece of hardware sold.

Any nut of the right dimension will work - to keep it secure you'll have to use a bit of lock-tite, the non-permanent kind.

I fixed one of my baitcasters with some kind of putty that I bought at Canadian Tire. it comes with 2 sticks of putty of different colors and when you knead them together and then put it on so that the handle is nice and tight. Leave it so it hardens and it'll never move.

But my problem wasn't a missing nut it was defective threads on the shaft.

Take your reel to Ottawa Fastener Tool and Equipmentvon Robertson Rd. They've got pretty much everything.
