I fish for the last 68 years in Europe and North America. The last 60 - spinning only. I am a retired scientist, experimental physicist, living in Ottawa, Ontario. I try not to torture fish, so I am against "catch and release". I am for "fish selectively and eat all your catch". I try to catch rather larger edible fish (the same number of bones as in a smaller catch) in cleaner and less frequented places. In this way I kill a very limited number of fish. A lot of my equipment is home made. I came to this forum to look for a very specific fishing rod or blanks to build it myself.
