This sled breaks down into 4 pieces. No tools needed. Fits easily in the trunk of a small car.
Originally made to accommodate the Pelican sled in photo and to carry my Auger. I used to have a pop up and pulling the Pelican sled with my gear in just the sled was too much work. With the Smitty Sled it just flew along. Hardly notice its there. No slush or snow build up in from of the sled to drag you down. Check the internet. Lots of positives on the use especially if you are an older angler like me.
Everything sits on top held down with the green ratchet straps to hold everything solid and snug. There are guides on the cross members that fit the bottom of the Pelican sled to keep it in line and steady and a area for your auger.
It is not necessary to have the Pelican sled if you do not have the space. You can build a small box to put on top of the Smitty that fits your space requirements . No need to get fancy or spend more money.
