Finally caught a speckle

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'm just glad to know there are lots of places like that out there. I'll find one like that one day....
If you used Bark Lake as home base, you wouldn't have to travel many miles to find small Speckle lakes!
Cheers,

Well...

To be honest with you... I thought the speck was quite pale and when it first came close to the boat still under water I thought it was a bow...

When we had it out, I noticed it had little colors compared to what I'm used to on the QC side but figured it may have been due to it being a stocked fish. Then again no way I could tell if it was stocked as no fins were clipped.

Either way it was tasty :) I have been told that this lake is stocked with speckles and know of folks that have caught specks in there.

Bassstalker... I have found some other splake lakes we can hit up shortly.

TS: I want to go where you go :) Those are some nice fish

Beauty fish Carlco a heck of a good start for yout first trout of the year. Lake" X" has only speckles and has ever only been stocked with specks.

My buddy has a four and a half pounder mounted from this lake...caught in 1997.

Glad I could be of help

Nice fish Carlco, I catch pale specks too from time to time, but my come from outta tha salt water, so maybe that's got something to with it. Don't think Lake X dumps connects to the ocean though.

I would need to see the tail to be 100% sure!

Actually, I'd have thought it was a Bow if not a Brookie. Sure is lightly colored for a Speck. Like to see it a little closer...

But as they say, nice fish all the same :!:

Heading out Monday for 5 days of Specks and Lakers....Weeee Ha :!:
