Baitcasters Kids Tourney! (with pics)

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Fantastic looking fish there, Thea!! The smile on a child's face really says it all. Sounds like a well-run and fun-filled day for the kids - kudos to the fine folks at Baitcasters!

Pretty funny when you have to reply to you own thread, eh Matcolecat?? :? Not a whole lot of activity going on here as of late..
Let's hope it picks up soon..

Good Fishing,
Justin

Nice to meet you and your daughter yesterday MCC. That was a great piece of luck she had fishing from shore - it was good to see her pick up that prize.

Me and my crew had a real tough day. All my spots on Mississippi Lake have been covered in a slime over the last two weeks and I had to try and find new spots that didn't have the slime. We drove all over the lake twice! I managed to catch a couple of decent bass but my crew struggled to get fish in the boat. There were several fish that were reeled to the side of the boat by my partners Keegan and Travis, but none made it into the net. It was heartbreaking. But we still had a great time and Baitcasters had prizes for everybody - in fact I think they probably had enough to go around twice. The kids had a ball.

Thanks goes to Crystal and Mike for pulling off a great event. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Great job, especially from shore.
We fished from shore too at Mississippi park and our 3 boys had a blast and caught 30 or so small fish. One of the boys brought in that monster 0.02 lb blue gill which they gave a prize for too.
Bait Casters did an amazing job with the tourney and had tons of prizes.
They'll be back for sure next year.
