vexilar

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

vexilar

Post by lenb12 »

Hi Everyone :

I went ice fishing with someone who had a vexilar. I had a good laugh when I could see the fish approach a small jig. We had caught numerous fish by changing presentations based on the "approach" that the fish had according to the vexilar readout.

My question is : I want to purchase a vexilar that works for both ice fishing and boat fishing. I think I would need narrow and wide beams modes. It looks like the Pro pack II is adapted for ice fishing, but can it be used for boat fishing as well ?

There is a kit that you can buy to summerize it.

The kit includes a transducer of your choice and the cable. You can buy a transom mount or electric motor mount transducer .

We have a Marcum, you just buy the transducer/cable that attaches to the boat and you're good to go.
