Ice prediction

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

The ice by the docks at petrie is about 3.5 inche's. 3/4's of that is garb mixed in with some clear ice. I expect some people to be down soon to test there luck, Just remember to be real safe.

Ummm i am assuming you are reffering to crappie bay. Anyways I was there this morning and there was alot of water pooling on the ice. I guess the ice is fracturing quite a bit. Still needs some time tho.

Mid December looks great so far for me......I mean 2 weeks from now if all stay the same even before!!!.....this morning it is cold my friend!!!!! It should stay cold enough next week for ice build up......I will really think about getting on the ice next week end......

First target........Mc Laurin Bay.....If some of you want to come let me know we could meet there.....I will have a good idea by fryday if the ice is good. I will be done working at noon and I will go and do a few spot check to see how thick the ice is. The first 100-200 feet from shore should be safe.....one more thing about Mc Laurin....the water is clear as cristal...you might want to adjust the type of line you use for this type of water condition.

One thing though.....we can only fish with one rod until Dec 21 or 22....no need to bring the full ice gears yet.

One more thing....I can't say for sure if you can fish the bay with Ontario permit...you might want to check with Quebec MNR before.

What do you guys think about some of the smaller inland lakes.
Anyone know of the ice conditions in and around the Plevna area?
Looks like 2 weeks of at least -10 each night and little to no wind. I'm thinking the 15th of Dec I should be good.
