i know it is hard to complain when it is a free sight!
but hey if we have to i am willing to donate to get a new server!
if everyone throws in a couple of bucks i bet we could get a faster server!
steve
I'm trying to understand the logic of everyone throwing in a few bucks when other sites I have recently become a member of are free
I don't fully understand the partnership between Bobber and the Service Provider but I can assure you that someone is getting something out of this, whether it's the sponsers who are getting a wide broadcast of advertisements or something else...
well i look at it i met alot of people on this sight and hate to lose these freindships!i have been to many sights and this one is still the best there is so far!
if it takes a few bucks to keep all these freindships togeather then be it!
If it was always the speed it is right at this moment there would be no complaining! So why cant it? I know there are issues at times with all sites but it is really bad.
I agree with others, the time has come to switch providers. I went through this in the past and you try to hang in as long as possible but there is a point where you have to just "git-r-done".
The move of fish-hawk would be considerably simple, just need to dedicate a couple hours to doing so.
Bobber you should also note now that on two different occasions I have seen different SQL code on the error pages, not just the "Critical Database Error" that usually appears. There is more than enough SQL code available for anyone "in the know" to do some damage.
It would we wise to switch now, and not loose any data, as opposed to deciding to switch after someone has totally dropped your database.
I do not want to stir the pot here because I agree that something needs to be done here but does Bobber have the time to spend " a few hours" changing providers...He is a hard working family man like most of us and he may not have that time right now. Is there anyone on here who is very knowledgable in this stuff that could help bobber if needed??? I hope I am not stepping on toes Bobber but if you need help with this I am sure some of the computer guys on here could assist this transition.
I know he will ask TMH but just letting him know that people would help him...As you are one of the most vocal about all this I would have thought you would also appreciate any help we could give Bobber in this. Anyway I hope someone can help if needed. I know my brother does this type of stuff up in the Soo but it always took him more than a few hours. I just don't think people understand how much work is involved in changing providers etc. I know I don't...

Sorry TMH wrong guy... ...Anyway what other options do we have for this situation then guys...Instead of complaining about this why not give some ideas...This is what I was getting at. We all complain very well, like myself... but have no ideas to help the problem. If what 24/7 says is right then that option is not the best. What other options are available. Lets work together on this instead of against one another.
But it truly did take 30 seconds to get to this post
Hey Brad...Welcome to the Twilight zone .....only kiddin'..welcome to the site..it has been a good site but as you have read, connectivity delay issues have been getting progressively worse within the past couple of months.....some of the more senior members have stated that this has been an on-going problem for a while now.....
You're lucky that it only did take 30 seconds to get to this post ....must be a ploy to draw newbies in
