Lemke Lake ? ? ?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lemke Lake ? ? ?

Post by HotelTango »

Hi guys after noticing that Lemke Lake it stocked with Brook trout. I was thinking of going there to try it out. Anyone on here ever been there. I know its small I go by it all the time when i go fish Sand lake. What side should I target the far side or near the pump. Also, since I have never fished specifically for Brookies what should I be using. I take it that minnows would be good?

Cheers

I've never fished any trout lake in that area, but in my experience with stocked brook trout lakes, alot of fish seem to hang out near the area where they were relaesed, look for the first bay or point from the access point. As for bait, you'd be surprised how effective worms can be for winter brookies. Good luck to you.
Tight lines,

Hit Lemke this morning. Nothing biting on either side of the lake.
