Buckshot lake... any suggestions

Hi all;

I am heading on a fishing trip with my son 14yrs... to the Denbeigh/Bancroft area. We are hoping to head out to Buckshot lake, I hear there are some nice Wally's there.

Has anyone ever fished it, would you have any tips? I would love to have my son's 1st fishing trip experience to be great.

I believe my first fishing was on Buckshot Lake. I have seen a picture of my brother and I sitting at the end of the dock, dunking worms. I don't know if we caught anything or not.

I can't offer any advice other than to enjoy the trip with your son. Hopefully it will be the first of many.

I intend to enjoy it... I can't wait and neither can he. I hope it will be an annual event for us.
