This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

NorthAMfishing's new ice fishing jigs are here!

Post by NorthAMfishing »

We’ve been hard at work designing our new ice fishing jig and I think we came up with something you’re going to like. We have designed a bottom bouncing jig that mimics a “bottom feeding minnow”. Our unique shape and action is unlike any other jig of similar design. It’s ultra sensitive to the slightest line movement and wiggles side to side with a more aggressive jigging action. Available in three weights, 1/8oz, ¼ oz. 1/2oz. Built with high quality powder coatings, realistic 3D eyes, dipped in Dupont two part clear coat, Mustad Ultra Point Hooks. It’s built with the same NorthAMfishing quality you can expect. It’s already getting a lot of attention and we want to make sure you are in the loop on its development. It is expected to hit stores shelves soon.

Thank you.

The photos are not showing. I did take a look from your social utility page.

Tank testing looks great.

Can these jigs be ordered on-line and shipped promptly?

There are alot of us here that would like to have your latest addition of products.

I am not sure exactly what your location is but we have two dealers in the Ottawa area that will have access to the new jigs in the next couple of weeks. Other locations that do not have an authorized dealer will have access to online shopping.

Our dealers are listed here...

Bits & Baits and Baitcasters are the stores that will have the jigs available to them to carry when they officially launch. Right now we are producing them and working closely with our customers to create patterns. I will be announcing the availability over the next few weeks. I will post any new developments on this thread, NorthAMfishing facebook page, and northamfishing online. Thank you.

I would love to hear all your feedback on the jigs in this post!

I'm not big on ice fishing, but my dad fishes for walleye up in the NW Ontario area all winter. He usually tips a basic round jighead with a live minnow. Would you tip these jigs with anything or would you always use them plain-jane?

They'd make a great stocking stuffer for him, but he's picky about jigs, so if they're best left un-tipped, he might not want to use 'em. Let me know your thoughts guys!

I would tip that with a small minnow or just a minnow head. Can't wait to have a bunch in my ice fishing arsenal.
When hell freezes over, I'll be there icefishing!!!

Sure you can tip them with a minnow, 1"tube, a little gulp minnow or leech. Be creative! whatever the fish wants use it!

We are playing with the idea of putting a tinsel tail on the back as a different series, I personally would tip with a minnow.

Baitcasters & Bits & Baits have confirmed that they will be carrying the jig. I will keep you posted on when the products arrive.

It's being designed still, along with others. I will post a picture of all the finished patterns as soon as I can.

Well, here they are! the new Ultra-Image perch and natural minnow pattern ice fishing jigs. Was a lot of hard work designing these. They will be hitting stores shortly. Baitcasters and Bits & Baits are on board!

P.S. it's hard to see the bottom jigs tail, but it's a UV pearl tinsel.

Let me know what you all think!

They look great. I'm in for a bunch of the perch minnows.
I realize that silver is hard to see in pics... do you make one with flash silver sides - like a shiner minnow?

It's hard to see but these have a metallic glimmer to them. not completely mirrored but still reflects light, the action really makes them shine. I would love to get some of them nickel plated but let's not give away whats to come....
