59 inch muskie

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Wow, the largest Musky caught in the last 50 years from these waters. Too bad about the inadvertent damage done to the fish. Thanks for sharing!

I picked up this link from MHM.com's message board. Some cool videos of the rig used to catch this beast. Videos were filmed by the guide himself...

You have to hate fish changing weight and size even when they are killed.

I saw that link last week and the fish was 60#s.

That's the big difference I see out there the majority of the killed fish are carried out on the south shores of the larry.

Some nice fish keep showing up on the 40 acres but a very small number of fish I would really like to know what the average size is as the numbers are very low and we hear of so mnay big ones.
Catch and release them all

Monster Musky

Post by Joey Rat »

No doubt a very nice fish but everyone seems to be forgetting about Dale McNairs 57" 33" fish from a couple of years ago that was probably a world record. Fortunately he chose to release it rather than kill it for the record.

You would think that the Musky fraternity on the Larry would be better informed but then there is that Canadian mentality of not bragging even when we should.
I'm just another beer drinker with a fishing problem!

I still remember that guy signing autographed photos of himself at the Carp Outdoors show a couple years ago.
