Just what I was thinking Hollywood, why would you specifically target big walleyes when you know that 40cm and up have to go back in? Chances are very good the walleyes that are going to be caught in that specific spot will be big females getting ready to head to their spawning grounds.

Actually, I think it's a fish sanctuary starting March 1st? 100 feet upstream from the CPR right of way (the pillars) to the north side of concession 4

Wow...thanks for your concern gentlemen... Wallyboss, this isn't on the Ottawa River. Hollywood that area closes completely after March 1st. A last kick at the trophy walleye can for the season for me. All C&R obviously.

So it's the flat at the point then. March 1 is the first day of that sanctuary C&R or not.

South Nation River - North
Plantagenet Twp., between north side
of Conc. IV and a point 30.5 m (100 ft.)
upstream of C.P.R. right-of-way.
Fish sanctuary - no fishing from
Mar. 1 - Fri. before 2nd Sat. in May

So if date are inclusive Feb 28th is the last day that you can fish in the sanctuary.

I know that is quoted from reg. You are wrong, Yan. You cannot fish there legally March 1

As a guide on the Ottawa River you should know all the regulations by heart for the waters that you fish. If I was a paying customer and got fined by MNR while with you on a guided trip, I would be one peed off customer.
