2015 year in review.. VERY PIC HEAVY
Well guys I have been putting it off long enough and I finally have a few minutes to sit down and write this up so here goes nothing.
I have had an absolutely crazy year. i know i'm going to miss a lot in this but I don't want to crash the site with a picture overload
Will start with my ice season, which I hope is right around the corner!
Started out targeting big perch and pannies, this turned out to be what i was doing with a huge chunk of the winter doing from slabs to perch to gills they're all so fun!
Coool big blue perch
my personal best gill at a hair over 11 inches
and my favorite species of the panfish family, The slabbos
a couple of nice walleye
Also spent a lot of time chasing greasers this year... new to me within the past couple years and with uncle Rjs help i was pretty successful!
These two fish will be permanently burnt into my memory on two separate occasions I was able to "guide" my mom and my girlfriend Madison on they're biggest fish through the ice. two big ole tubs of grease!
As the Ice season was wrapping up I had one thing on my mind CHROME
only got out a couple times for them before leaving the Ottawa area but they were very successful smashing fish the whole time and with Madi
This pig hen Madi got her first day ever steelheading made me a little envious
this big buck a few drifts later made up for it
Then things in my life really took a crazy turn!
I was fortunate enough to be accepted to a guiding position in Northern Ontario fishing for giant Walleye and Pike on beautiful Lac Seul!
After close to a month of training on learning the lake, the boats and how to guide to they're expectations I was off with my groups in my brand new kingfisher! theses are aboslutley amazing boats that are built like tanks and handle like a Cadillac!! 20' long powered by a 115hp yamaha SHO tiller it was the perfect fishing rig!
Guide life is the craziest lifestyle ever! indescribable!
Had over 60 walleye over 27" or 7-8 pounds in my boat by myself and guests....... yes I was able to fish all day with my guests
Here are a couple of my big walleye through the season..was a little dicey asking guests to snap a pic of my big fish so most of them went with little hype and back into the drink pretty quick
this was a fun one, caught at the base of some rapids on the centrepin and a fly so fun!
ok back to more gold
Madi was able to come visit for a few days while I was down there Made the long time away from each other so much easier!
as usual she had the hot hand smashing her personal best a couple of times
there was also a very short window of time where we were able to sightfish smallies when they were on theyre beds.... right up my ally
landed my personal best at 6.8lbs
guided lots of big pike this year stretching the tape over 40" more then a few times
here are my two favorite from the season
and my personal best 43"
after an unreal summer at the lodge i made my way back home home stopping at a couple places to fish along the way...
this pink salmon was one for the bucket list
Have been out on the water a lot since i got back to Ottawa mostly targeting back lake trout and musky with limited success but still so much fun!
my only musky of the year
and time for pretty little trout
'
Well to anyone who made it through that long winded picture crazed clusterpuck of a report
THANK YOU!
it has been a great year and every weekend has a new adventure!
See everyone on Friday night
EDIT yes i know theres not a single largemouth in here.. believe me i tried when i got back.. not as single largie over 2lbs

Chevy,
Fantastic report, and wow! Land of the Giants for sure!!!! Just incredible.
Although it appears Maddison may actually get your gig guiding, as she clearly can out fish you for lunkers!

For a young dude you've had one season to remember for a lifetime.
Congrats on all your accomplishments this year.
Do you really want that big green fish?
We've got to talk.
