June is likely my favorite month of the year to fish, this past June was one to remember I'll say. Record bookings for our guide service with some great fishing as the result. The bi-product of that? Now booking into September with July and August pretty much toast for full day availability. Still finding time to spend time on the water with family and friends, just have to get it on the calendar quick...
The highlights:
The Gar never disappoint....
Carp Day with two groups in the middle of a horrible cold front, tougher than I hoped but one thing I've learned is I can't control the weather!
Hopped aboard the new Lund Bass Boat for a day for Lakers with Moe from Pirate Cove to fun fish some Lakers. The new Jackall Rythm Wave got snacked on.
Laker Rookies, they always love that straight down battle.
Cats? Yup we do that too.
Bass season opened....
Spent the day with my buddy Ian on some Smallies.
How do you cap off an awesome month? With an 8 year old landing the fish of a lifetime for most.
Been a heckuva run! More to come with more Smallies, Muskies, Lakers etc. in July with some downtime on Lake Ontario with RJ Sr.
Tight lines and stay safe out there!

Nice bunch of fish!
How deep were the lakers? Suspended or off the bottom?
I know nothing about splake, but would they hit on the same stuff lakers gobble?
Thanks for sharing RJ!

You had a great June RJ and all the smiles and nice fish to show for it. That is one of the best things about guiding is the excitement and smiles from happy clients at the end of the day. Nice looking Bass boat and it works for Lakers also so a bonus.
Great Post and great pics

As deep as 130 but I rarely fish the bottom, if so very briefly. Depending on the size of the Splake and what they are eating I'm sure they'd take something similar.cprince wrote:
