Reel Cleaning & Servicing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Reel Cleaning & Servicing

Post by Farlane94 »

Hey folks, anyone know any good spots to get my reels cleaned and serviced?? Ive never got them done and decided id do the responsible thing and take care of my investments. All the reels are Okuma so someplace with knowledge of this brand would be great!

I believe Rockey's Tackle Repair in Orillia is an Okuma service depot. I can check to be sure Tuesday when I am back at the store as well as get the full address. The other option is to bring them out to Paddletales and we send them out when we get enough. This is a service that we do at cost so there is no markup.

Ed: Are you doing the same for Daiwa? I've got three that need some TLC.

Yes. They go to Aikman's reel service in Mississauga though. They tend to be a bit slow however, so I'd get them in sooner rather than later.
