Best ice fishing flasher/finder for the buck?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Best ice fishing flasher/finder for the buck?

Post by FLOATFISHIN »

I've got a good buddy doing some research for me tonight, but with a coming trip this weekend, I'm after some insight? I barely fish frozen water, and was hoping for some feed back on what unit to buy? If I could find used, I would, but seems it's hard to find anything used. I'm not out to spend 700$ just looking for feed back in the 3-400 range. We are targeting crappie this W.E and maybe some eye's. I have to buy (If I do on Friday) so and help before then is much appreciated!

http://www.cabelas.ca/product/79312/mar ... 1i-flasher

This is a little more than $400 Kev, but it's a solid unit. I have had one for 8yrs now, and can tell you it performs like a champ. No problems....EVER. :)
I'm a goin' fishin', mama's goin' fishin' and my baby's goin fishin' too.

Funny Gord, I was just looking at the same unit online! I'll wait to see if our Buddie finds anything else, or if I can find used in the next 24 hrs. But, that might just be the next purchase!!! THX Gord!!!!!!

I have used hummingbird ICE-55 portable flasher for ice fishing. It features an extreme temperature LCD with digital depth and automatic depth scale.

I have a hummingbird 345C ice, I enjoy it as I can use it in the winter and the summer. For us parents who are trying not to squander our kids education fund  . If you already have a fishfinder for summer you could also just get a transducer for that one.
