Cornwall question

I have a question. While driving out of Cornwall last Saturday, it looked like someone had a carpping rig set up at the mouth of gray's creek. I was not sure if they were fishing for carp or catfish.Thanks

The St. Lawrence is a prim carping spot. I would not be surprised if they were fishing for carp. I have seen lots of reports of good carp catches over the past week two (mostly from the kingston area).

I have not heard many reports of catfish activity yet on the Larry or the Ottawa yet.

Used to fish for catfish there as a kid being I lived a stones throw away, never pulled a carp out of that area but haven’t fished it in probably 10 years so there might be carp there now.
