Pickeral Report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Pickeral Report

Post by phitty »

...best thing I caught this weekend was a sunburn! Sorry to hear the weather was crap down here. 21 degrees and sun up in Smooth Rock Falls.

Went out for an hour or two each night. The bite was nonexisitent on cranks, or even drifting jigs. Didnt find a colour preference, but they didnt like chartreuse/green. Black, yellow, red and white all worked.

Once I slowed things down the action was steady. Picked up 3 pickeral and 2 pike SLOWly dragging a jig in about 20 FOW off a rock point.

Best was 20" (pike and pickeral) down to about 16" for the smallest.
