Kingston Kids' Derby Report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Kingston Kids' Derby Report

Post by Cancatchbass »

Despite constant showers, the Kingston Kids' Derby, held yesterday, was well attended. Hundreds of kids, shoulder to shoulder, trying to catch perch, rockies, and ???

Here's my four year old nephew, who sat for 3 1/2 hours, without a bite, but confident that the big one was coming along any second. He even refused to go indoors for a hot dog.

His patience was finally rewarded!

Meanwhile, I borrowed my other nephew's Scooby-Doo rod to put a hurting on these guys:

No catch and release for them!

I was at the Muskies Canada booth-Tom.
Really good turnout considering the weather.
A little bit of rain doesn't seem to dampen
the enthusiasm of a true fisherman or should
I say "fisherperson"? There seemed to be
nearly as many girls there as boys!
