Last weekend pics

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Last weekend pics

Post by Gravelguy4 »

Every year the in laws make a trek down from calgary to visit. They used to have a cottage on pigeon lake so my father in law wants to do nothing but fish his brains out while he's down. Which is why i never complain about them coming.
Last year was a lousy couple of fishing weeks for us and I never got a feel for what the fish were doing. Last weekend they arrived and in 3 trips out we caught more fish than all of last year's 2 week stay.
Tomorrow I start a weeks holidays where we will attempt to keep the momentum rolling and get into some healthy critters. We upgraded motors from 15hp to 25 hp on my 14ft boat so we should move pretty good and i've also upgraded trolling motors. I AM PUMPED.

just wanted to share my enthusiasm and a couple pics from the weekend.
we caught a lot (close to 10?) of fish in the 18" range. These aren't the biggest, just a couple of the random pics.

Love the largies!

Nice fish and it's great to know you have some common ground with the father in law! 8)

Nice stuff Gravel. I find it hard not to stare at the grass you're fishing. I love that stuff.
