More Photo's from Wolfe, If You Can Stand More!

Post by wolfe »

Here are a few more miscellaneous pic's from my recent stay at Wolfe Lake, as a continuation to my recent walleye report.

My Crestliner's hood ornaments  :

A game little smallmouth for the Torpedo, caught on jig, I think...

One of my better bronzies this trip, not so long, but hefty & with bold markings. Taken on a Torpedo on a hot, sunny afternoon:

Here's one of Shane's fatty sunfish!
Image

A fun smallie for me, right at dusk; tempted while jigging for walleye.
Image

Another smallmouth for Ty; this one on a TX-rigged plastic worm. This guy had a blind eye:

We met Gorfman for an afternoon of fun on a blistering hot day. Thx to Gorfman's idea and the kindness of his friend, we enjoyed some shady dock fishing on Bob's Lake. A little largie for Ty made him smile:
Image

Shane's 1st pike! Small, but when it's a 1st, who cares?! Big brother Ty was excited to hold it. A special memory for Shane -- he was telling everyone!:D
Image

Thank you Gorfman for hosting me and the boys for the afternoon. It's a nice tradition we've got going, and it was a fun get together for all of us! Thx for the chat and laughs (still getting a lot of peace and quiet with your neighbors next door? ) and for always being so good to the kids.

Here's a reptilian pic for Tip-Up and Jighead... This one was the biggest I've ever seen at the lake. We watched him for several minutes before he slithered under the old pump house.

Weather was great while we were up. There was only 1 half day of rain for each week we were there. Ty needed a trip to the town doc for a case of poison ivy gone bad (staph infection), but he got treatment promptly and is doing well.

Still have to get around to the cottage update. Working on it....

Hey Salmon,

How's that champ Jonathan doing?

Brian estimated the snake to be appx. 4'. Apparently, I snipped a bit off his tail end in the photo, but if you look, you'll see he's still somewhat thick at that point and had a ways to go.

I think it is what's called a black rat snake. Not dangerous but definetly scary looking. They get bigger as well.
