This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hi all,

Been lurking on the site as a guest for a couple of weeks but like it so much I had to join in the fun.

Grew up fishing in southern Ontario, Grand River mostly. Just gotten back into it in the last couple of years.

Now fish mostly in and around Deep River, bass and pike are my favourites. Caught my first muskie this year, just a little one (33 inches) but will definitely be doing more.

Cheers,
Snakebite

Hi Snakebite! Hope we hear more from you soon.

And I wouldn't mind a "small" 33" muskie!

W.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Welcome. I just joined 2 days ago.

Is that Deep River on Hwy 17 East? Not far from Chalk River, If I re-call correctly? Just wonderin'.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

PP - yup, just two hours up Hwy 17, I actually spend a good amount of time fishing just outside of Chalk River.

Welcome to the board snakebite.

I was just up in Chalk River this weekend. A friend of mine just moved to Deep River, I plan on doing some serious fishing up there soon.

Cheers
