Whats your favourite fish to eat?

Thought Id thoss this out for some fun, just curious as to what are your favourite fish is to eat I will start with mine

1-pickerel
2-cod
3-perch

Walleye
halibut
fillet of sole
cod
orange roughie
shrimp, crab.....I know they arent your typical fish but I love shrimp....great now I am hungry.

Its a really nice tasting fish. My mom used to make it for me when we live in the states. I am not sure if thats the real name but I think it is.

It is a very mild tasting fish, white flesh. Was very popular a few years ago. The novalty seems to have worn off now, at one time just about every restaurant had it on their menu.

Tied for first place is Walleye and Crappy

A lot of restaurants now serve Talapia. It is a very good fish, doesn't have that very oily fish taste. It is very light I would compare it to walleye.

Believe it or not smoked catfish/barbot (sp?) is also extremely tasty. I built a smoker at my cottage, so when I catch 50+ next year I would be happy to share with anyone interested in trying...

Eddie contact Joco next year , we catch 50+ almost every night we go out catfishing.

I would have to say mud pout!!!!or small barbout, in a little flour and salt and pepper , pan fried served with lemon !!!!! YUMMM :wink:
and winter perch is a close second in Rockey Madison , caygeon crisp

I'd have to say ling-cod. I target them in the hardwater season. they are an incredible fish to eat.

I've had them while in BC, but Ling Cod around here?????

Surprisingly, mine is pike from cold winter water. When filleted properly to remove all bones, the meat is quite delicious.
