Late fall petrie walleye

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Late fall petrie walleye

Post by Crusty »

Finally got the wife to assist with the camera to computer connection.
Here is a walleye from late in the boating season.
Check out the lamprey marking on tail.
The first lamprey I've personally seen on a fish a Petrie.
This guy was 8.5
His little brother was 7 and change

Wow!!! Nice fish Crusty. Congrats.

I don't want to sound like I have any lessons to give, but I like to see a nice fish like that held horizontally with support on the belly if it's gonna be released. 8.5 pounds held by the gills :!:  Others might share my opinion on that. Then again, maybe I'm off.

Nonetheless, a great catch. Congrats again.

Jig and golden shiner at sundown.

All muskie are supported in the proper manner.

I'd like to thank my sponsers
the spca and federation against cruelty to animals

He was heading for the pan,but a change of heart should make someone at Petrie happy this winter.

Next thing you now its going to be taboo to lip a bass or crappie

Easy Crusty!!!!

I posted my comment with all the humility in the world. No need to be snotty.

I did not say you should, I said I like to see. I also said "if it is to be released". I did not condemn, I was simply bringing an opinion forward, wich is how civilised people learn from one an other. I also stated that I might be off.

No hard feelings and again, congrats on the nice catch.
